SDBTA has selected Saturday, November 6th from 9:00 am - Noon for the San Diego Food Bank volunteer day.
Volunteer projects include:
- Cleaning and packaging fresh produce for immediate distribution.
- Inspecting, sorting, boxing, and labeling food donations.
- Assembling food packages for our Senior Food Program, Moms & Children Food Program, Food Assistance Program, and our Food 4 Kids Backpack Program
Each shift lasts about three hours and involves a variety of projects and tasks.
Volunteers must be six years or older, and all minors 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult for every 4 children).
Space is limited and your RSVP through the SDBTA website is confirmation that you will be attending with any of your guests.
Volunteers MUST print and sign the Volunteer Waiver Form before your volunteer shift. Completed forms must be brought with you on the day of your visit. SDBTA will have extra waivers onsite.
Bagels and Coffee will be provided by SDBTA prior to the shift.
