Stephen Barth, author of Hospitality Law and coauthor of Restaurant Law Basics, is an attorney and the founder of HospitalityLawyer.com, the annual Hospitality Law Conference series, and the Global Travel Risk Summit series.

In 2011, he launched the Global Congress on Travel Risk Management. This conference focuses on travel risk education to save costs and crisis management training to save lives. This interactive conference converges travel managers with safety and security directors and provides legal and compliance perspectives. Attendees have an opportunity to intimately connect with industry thought leaders and work through real-world immersion sessions covering crisis like disease outbreak, civil unrest, and active shooters. This series is now known as the Global Travel Risk Summit in collaboration with Business Travel News.

He speaks regularly on many issues for the travel and hospitality industries. His presentations focus on emotionally intelligent leadership, methods for preventing liability, and travel risk management including duty of care.

Stephen earned his Law degree, Master of Arts in Communications, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics from Texas Tech University.

DALE BUCKNER
President, Global Guardian, LLC

Dale has been leading Global Guardian since it's inception in March 2012 and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations and it's growth.  
He is a decorated Combat-Commander with multiple combat tours and classified operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Columbia, Haiti and Cuba and executed deployments to Russia, El Salvador, Honduras, Chile, Panama, Kuwait and Qatar.

Dale served in the United States Army Infantry (9 years), Military Intelligence (2 years), and Special Forces Green Berets (13 years).  He commanded 5 organizations including an Infantry Reconnaissance Platoon, Special Forces Scuba Team, Special Force Counter-Terrorism Team, a Special Forces Counter-Terrorism Task Force, and a Special Troops Battalion.  

Dale has Bachelor's Degrees in Criminal Justice and Business, Master's Degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration, a Masters Certificate in Strategic Leadership from Cornell and was a Senior Fellow at the Tufts University School of Law and Diplomacy.  

Dale earned a total of 27 awards and decorations highlighted by his combat Bronze Star Medal and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
