The May 17th Government Relations presentation will give an overview of the industry’s priorities,  the many ways GBTA and our chapter can help influence the debate in Washington, and – most importantly – how you can make a difference!

Shane Downey
Director, Public Policy   

Shane Downeyis the Director of Public Policy for the Global Business Travel Association.  In this role Shane oversees GBTA’s lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill, the countrywide grassroots campaign, and the NBTAPAC. Shane comes to GBTA with over 11 years of government affairs experience.  Prior to joining GBTA, Shane was a Senior Associate at a lobbying firm inWashington,D.C. In 1996, Shane oversaw the successful reelection of an Ohio Congressman.  Shane received his B.A in History from The Ohio State University.
